Church Portraits

A couple weeks ago, I set up my studio equipment at church and took portraits of everyone. For these shots I used a studio backdrop and two umbrellas.

Advanced Lighting

A couple weeks ago I completed the Advanced Lighting Photography class at Greenville Technical College.  In this class we learned different lighting techniques for portraits, food and product photography.  The last night of the class, we did some Macro Photography and played around with water drops.  This was pretty cool!

This shot was done with a 100mm Macro lens, two off-camera flashes, a coffee cup full of water and an eyedropper.  An orange sheet of paper was taped behind the cup to create the orange effect.  It took about twenty shots to get this one.

Family Portraits

All the kids came over for Mother's Day so it was a perfect opportunity for me to set up my studio equipment  and get some family photos. These are a few of my favorites from the day.

Cindy Waldrop/Lanny Burns wedding

We did Cindy and Lanny's wedding in January, and it was a lot of fun.  Cindy is a GA leader at her church, so she chose to have the girls in her class as her junior bridesmaids.  They were all really cute in their formal attire and you could tell that they were very excited about sharing in Cindy and Lanny's big day.

Cindy Waldrop Burns Bridal Portraits

We did Cindy's Bridal portraits in January.  Since the weather was cold, we did the shoot at her new house.  She has a large bonus room which was ideal for setting up our studio equipment.

Cindy & Lanny Engagement Session

I had the privilege of photographing Cindy and Lanny's engagement photos in December.  The engagement session was shot at Lenora's Legacy in Campobello SC.  Lenora's Legacy is the former residence of Lanny's grandmother.  His cousin now owns the property, which is used for weddings, receptions, and events.  Even though it was cold and windy, which is not suitable conditions for outdoor portraits, we managed to get a few good shots.  Here are a couple of my favorites.
